READER REGISTRATION AND CONTROL SECTOR
Employees of the sector register and re-register users. Here you can get information about the basic rules of using the Library, the working hours of the departments, events and services of the Library. To register, you need to have an identity document and take a photo at the sector. Registration, as well as borrowing documents from the Library’s collections, can be done only in person.
INFORMATION AND BIBLIOGRAPHIC DEPARTMENT
This department houses the main reference and bibliographic apparatus – catalogs, card indexes, bibliography and universal reference resources: encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books, which gives a complete picture of the Library’s collection. The bibliographer on duty helps users to select and order the information they need, to obtain factual and thematic references.
SUBSCRIPTION DEPARTMENT
The collection of the department includes about 30 thousand copies: it consists of books and periodicals in various fields of knowledge, fiction, audiobooks, literature in Braille, documents on CDs and DVDs. This is the only department where all the literature is loaned to users for a certain period of time. Users have the opportunity to extend the period of use of the department’s books online. The children’s playground, which is located in the department, provides an opportunity to spend time with toys and interesting books for children who come to the Library with their parents.
INTERNET CENTER
The Internet Center started working in 2003 due to active project activities. The department is equipped with modern computer equipment, which allows it to meet the information needs of users. In the Internet Center, you can prepare for a study session, chat with friends online and generally use the Internet resources for self-education and leisure.
DEPARTMENT OF ARTS
The staff of the Arts Department offers and promotes information sources on various areas of world and national art: albums, books and magazines, sheet music, record collections, audio and video materials – documents on non-traditional media. The department hosts exhibitions of paintings, decorative arts, art projects and installations by artists from the region and Ukraine, and exhibitions of private collections.
EXCHANGE COLLECTION SECTOR
The Library’s loan collection sector, which is a part of the Collection Development Department, ensures the distribution of documents between regional and oblast libraries. The Library’s loan collection is universal in its composition, containing books, brochures, periodicals and continuing publications that have not lost their scientific, artistic and cultural value.
SECTOR “INFORMATION AND TOURIST CENTER”
The Information and Tourist Center sector of the Library, which is a part of the Local History Department, provides users with complete and up-to-date information on various areas of tourist activity. It provides information support to the tourism industry.
