Library

Forms of library services include: subscription, reading room, coworking, interlibrary loan (ILL), including international, remote service with electronic information resources via the website and electronic delivery of documents, service outside the library at specialized scientific and technical exhibitions and other off-site events.

Procedure for registration to the library and issuance of a library card

In order to register for a library visit, a user must provide a passport or a document that replaces it.

A person wishing to register at the library shall fill in a registration card, familiarize himself/herself with these Rules, confirming his/her obligations to comply with them by signing.

When registering for the library, the user agrees to the collection and processing of personal data for the purposes of statistics in an impersonal form.

Registration of virtual users who receive services exclusively through the library’s website is carried out without the use of personal data.

After processing the registration card, the user receives a plastic library card with an identification number (hereinafter referred to as the library card), which is valid for an unlimited period of time or a one-time library card for one visit to the library.

The library card entitles the user to work free of charge with the reference and search apparatus, documents from the library’s collections and electronic resources in the reading rooms.

A one-time library card allows a user to work with the reference and search apparatus and receive up to 5 copies of documents for processing in the reading rooms during one visit.

A library card gives its holder the right to personal use of the library and cannot be transferred to other persons.

Users are prohibited from

  • Transfer your library card, checklist, subscription to coworking services to other persons, use other people’s documents.
  • Enter the reading room of the Library in outerwear, bring briefcases, bags, opaque plastic bags into the reading rooms.
  • Bring into the library alcoholic beverages, drugs, explosives and flammable substances, weapons, as well as other dangerous items and substances that may harm the health of library users and staff.
  • Eat, drink drinks in places not suitable for this purpose, smoke in the library premises.
  • To enter the office premises, use office telephones, catalogs, and file cabinets without the permission of the library staff.
  • Conduct excursions, lectures, classes, photo and video shooting, etc. in the library without the consent of the library manager. Unauthorizedly place announcements, posters and other materials of an advertising and commercial nature in the library premises.
  • Remove cards and dividers from catalogs and file cabinets, make marks on them, and disturb the order of cards and catalog boxes.
